Practical Business Support for Neurodivergent Self-Employed People

Regular, hands-on help with the admin of running your business

You may be very good at the work you do, but find the paperwork and accounts around it much more difficult.

If ADHD, dyslexia, autism or a similar condition makes invoices, paperwork, admin emails or deadlines harder to manage, I can provide regular support to help you keep on top of them.

My support focuses on the financial and back-office admin involved in running your business, rather than the work or services you provide to customers.

Does this sound familiar?

You may know what needs doing, but actually getting it done can be difficult.

  • Keep putting off invoices, paperwork or admin emails
  • Feel overwhelmed when several things need attention at once
  • Find it hard to decide what to tackle first
  • Lose track of deadlines or things you meant to come back to
  • Start tasks but don’t always see them through

The work you do may be going perfectly well. Often, it is the admin around it that becomes difficult.

How neurodivergent business support can help

Planning & keeping things moving

We can regularly look at what needs attention and work out what to tackle next.
I can help you prioritise, break difficult jobs into manageable steps and keep track of things that might otherwise be forgotten, delayed or avoided.

Admin, emails & paperwork

I can help with the everyday back-office admin involved in running your business.
That might include forms, records, paperwork or emails connected with invoices, payments and other admin, as well as following up outstanding actions.

Invoices, bills & financial admin

This is where my bookkeeping and accountancy background can be particularly useful.
I can help you make sure work gets invoiced, keep track of customer payments, organise bills and payment information, and keep the financial admin under control.

You remain in control of your business and its financial decisions.

What does regular support look like?

The service is designed to be simple, structured and predictable. When we check in, we can look at four areas:

Money

Invoices, customer receipts and bills

Admin

Paperwork, emails and follow-ups

Deadlines

Anything coming up or overdue

Stuck tasks

Jobs you can’t get moving

We then narrow things down to a manageable number of actions.

Done

What has been dealt with

Need you

Anything requiring your action

Next

What we are dealing with next

More than a to-do list

Sometimes knowing what you need to do isn’t the problem.

Actually starting it, organising it and seeing it through can be much harder.

That is why this service is different from general business advice or coaching.

We can tackle these tasks together. I might help you get started, organise the information you need, draft an admin email or form, prepare something for you to check, or help finish an agreed back-office task.

You stay in control. I provide the extra structure that helps things move forward.

Business admin with financial know-how

My background is in bookkeeping and accountancy.

That means I already understand the financial side of running a small business – invoices, payments, bookkeeping systems, records, HMRC requirements and deadlines.

You don’t have to spend time explaining the basics of your business admin before we can start dealing with it.

It also means I can recognise when something is simply an admin task and when it may have wider bookkeeping, accounting or tax implications.

The aim is simple: less time worrying about the admin that is piling up, and more time concentrating on the work you actually do.

Could Access to Work help with the cost?

If ADHD, dyslexia, autism or another disability or health condition creates additional difficulties in your work, you may be eligible for support through the government’s Access to Work scheme.

Access to Work may be able to contribute towards the cost of practical workplace support.

You do not need Access to Work funding to use this service. You can work with me privately if that suits you better.

If you think Access to Work may be relevant, I can also help you explore that route.

Would this kind of support help you?

You don’t need to have everything organised before getting in touch.

In fact, that’s rather the point.

Tell me a little about what you do and where the admin tends to get stuck.

We can have an informal conversation and see whether the service feels right for you.

I also provide bookkeeping, accounts and tax support for self-employed people and small businesses.
