Practical Business Support for Neurodivergent Self-Employed People

Regular, hands-on help with the business tasks that are difficult to keep on top of

You may be very good at the work you do, but find the business side much harder to manage.

If ADHD, dyslexia, autism or a similar condition makes admin, planning, invoices, emails or deadlines harder to manage, I can provide regular support to help keep your business moving.

This is not just advice about what you should do – it is about helping you get things done.

Does this sound familiar?

You may know what needs doing, but actually getting it done can be difficult.

  • Keep putting off invoices, paperwork or emails
  • Have too many unfinished jobs competing for your attention
  • Struggle to decide what needs doing first
  • Lose track of deadlines or things you meant to come back to
  • Know exactly what needs doing but still find it difficult to start

The main part of your work might be going perfectly well. Often, it is everything around it that becomes difficult.

How neurodivergent business support can help

Planning & keeping things moving

We can regularly look at what is happening in your business and work out what actually needs attention.
I can help you prioritise, break difficult tasks into manageable steps and keep track of jobs that might otherwise be forgotten, delayed or avoided.

Admin, emails & paperwork

I can help with the everyday administration involved in running your business.
That might include emails, forms, paperwork, organising information, following up outstanding actions or helping you complete something you have been struggling with.

Invoices, bills & financial admin

This is where my bookkeeping and accountancy background can be particularly useful.
I can help you make sure work gets invoiced, keep track of customer payments, organise bills and payment information, and keep the financial admin under control.

You remain in control of your business and its financial decisions.

What does regular support look like?

The service is designed to be simple, structured and predictable. When we check in, we can look at four areas:

Money

Invoices,
customer payments and bills

Admin

Emails,
paperwork and outstanding jobs

Deadlines

Anything approaching or already overdue

Stuck tasks

Things you know need doing but can’t progress

We then narrow things down to a manageable number of actions.

Done

What has been dealt with

Need you

Anything waiting for your decision or action

Next

What we are dealing with next

More than just another to-do list

Sometimes knowing what you need to do isn’t the problem.

Actually starting it, organising it and seeing it through can be much harder.

That is why this service is different from general business advice or coaching.

We can work on the actual tasks in your business. I might help you work out where to start, organise the information you need, work through something alongside you, prepare something for you to check, or help complete an agreed task.

You stay in control. I provide the extra structure that helps things move forward.

Business support with financial know-how

My background is in bookkeeping and accountancy.

That means I already understand the practical financial side of running a small business – invoices, payments, bookkeeping systems, records, HMRC requirements and deadlines.

You don’t have to spend time explaining the basics of your business administration before we can start dealing with it.

It also means I can recognise when something is simply an admin task and when it may have wider bookkeeping, accounting or tax implications.

The aim is simple: less time worrying about the business tasks that are piling up, and more time concentrating on the work you actually do.

Could Access to Work help with the cost?

If ADHD, dyslexia, autism or another disability or health condition creates additional difficulties in your work, you may be eligible for support through the government’s Access to Work scheme.

Access to Work may be able to contribute towards the cost of practical workplace support.

You do not need Access to Work funding to use this service. You can work with me privately if that suits you better.

If you think Access to Work may be relevant, I can also help you explore that route.

Would this kind of support help you?

You don’t need to have everything organised before getting in touch.

In fact, that’s rather the point.

Tell me a little about what you do, what tends to get stuck and what you would like help keeping on top of.

We can have an informal conversation and see whether the service feels right for you.
